Buying/Setting up Child Sim

Hello, I have partially read and understood certain aspects to how this works but basically, I am already with ID mobile and I am wanting to purchase a new SIM card for my child

 

I understand about not logging in so it doesn't affect my account and just checking out as a new SIM only deal etc, but when the SIM card gets delivered, how do I set it up so I have control?

 

Do I have to put the SIM card in my phone to add it to my ID mobile app? Or do I put the SIM card in my child's phone? I imagine to add the number to my app a text will go to the SIM card? 

 

I don't want to install ID mobile app on my child's phone as it defeats the purpose of me having control, I don't want them getting savvy using that app and enabling things like adult content etc

 

Is there any useful instructions from anyone who has done this already?

I've obviously got to figure out how to set up my child's phone as a separate issue but want to sort the SIM card out first

Yes you can add to the app while the SIM card is in the child’s phone. The OTP will be sent to the child’s phone for you to add onto the app on your phone.

    You can add the account to your app on your phone, so you have control of the account side. You can ensure the adult filter is one, and set the bill cap to zero so they can’t go over their allowance.

    Hello thanks for response

     

    How would I add the account to my app though? When the new SIM card arrives do I have to put the SIM card into my phone to add to my ID app or can I add the account to my app while the SIM card is in my child's new phone? As I don't want to download the ID app on my child's phone

    Yes you can add to the app while the SIM card is in the child’s phone. The OTP will be sent to the child’s phone for you to add onto the app on your phone.

    Im trying to add my sons phone number on my app, but the OTR code is not being sent to his phone to proceed further, weve trued multiple times? 

    What do I do next? How can I get this to work?

    No the OTP number is not being sent to my sons number to activate it??
