Call forwarding not working on IPhone 15 Pro Max

I want to forward my calls to another phone number. I'm currently overseas. I tried using the call forwarding settings on my iPhone 15, but the page doesn’t load. I also tried using the dial pad with this code: *21*phone_number#, but it didn’t work. When I try using the dial pad method, I receive the following message:

Error performing request
Unknown Error

Setting Activation Failed
Voice Call Forwarding
On All Calls

How can I forward my incoming calls?

Hi there ​@bilgek, it may be that you needed to enable call forwarding before leaving the UK, which is why it’s not working currently with yourself being abroad.

 

Have you been able to set up call forwarding with us in the past?

 

What device do you have?

When I'm back, I will try it in the UK. I haven’t tried call forwarding before with iD Mobile. My device is an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I have an eSIM from my local country, and call forwarding works with that.

OK ​@bilgek  please let us know how you get on when you are back in the UK.

To set up call forwarding on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding. 
  • Toggle on Call Forwarding and enter the phone number to which you want to forward your calls. 
  • If you have a GSM network, you can set this up directly on your iPhone. For CDMA networks, contact your carrier for assistance. 
  • To disable call forwarding, return to the same settings and toggle off Call Forwarding.  This will ensure that incoming calls are automatically directed to the specified number.
