Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry for any confusion around this.
With iD Mobile, the Roaming Beyond add-on is data-only, which means it does not include any voice call minutes or SMS allowances for use in the USA.
📞 Using calls in the USA
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a roaming add-on for traditional UK-style call minutes while abroad. So standard mobile calls and texts in the USA are charged separately if used.
💬 Alternative option (recommended)
You can still make and receive calls using your data allowance through apps such as:
- FaceTime Audio
- Messenger
- Skype
These will use your roaming data rather than traditional call minutes, so they are often the most cost-effective option while abroad.
Please make sure that bill CAP is set to £0.
