Call problems

I recently switched from O2 and used an eSIM then switched my number. All appeared fine at first but I noticed I was constantly showing No Service. I could call mobiles and receive but not call landlines, and I couldn’t access my voicemail. It seemed I had 2 lines set up, one showing primary the other secondary. Voicemails from IDmobile went to the secondary line for some reason.

After going round in circles with online chat I went and got a physical SIM card. I’ve just activated it but didn’t receive a text and started getting spammed with voicemails I couldn’t access. I contacted the chat service to see if the new SIM card was active before physically replacing it, and they demanded I hold up my drivers licence and do a selfie. I did it after googling but found it quite dubious.

Seems they were troubleshooting me having the SIM card in when I said it wasn’t. After 90 minutes I put the SIM card in, seemed ok initially as now I can call landlines. But now I can’t call mobiles. I can receive calls from mobiles and landlines and I’m still showing No Service.

I’ve reset the network, tried switching between the primary and secondary line, toggled airplane on and off, turned the phone on and off and I don’t know what else to try.

Can Curry’s provide tech support? There’s one I can get to this weekend if all else fails. I’m getting to the point I feel like cancelling the contract.

Hi @Calathea,

Thank you for your message.

We are really sorry to hear about everything you’ve been experiencing, I can completely understand how frustrating and stressful this must be, especially after already going through multiple changes, troubleshooting steps, and still not having stable service. This is absolutely not the experience we aim to provide, and I want to reassure you that we do care and are committed to getting this properly resolved for you.

From what you’ve described (No Service issues, difficulties calling certain numbers, voicemail routing problems, and instability after switching between eSIM and physical SIM), it does sound like your line may not be fully provisioned correctly on the network, or there may still be a configuration conflict from the original eSIM setup.

Before anything else, could you please try the following quick check on your device:

Check your own number is saved correctly:

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Phone
3. Tap My Number
4. Use the delete button to remove the old number
5. Use the keypad to enter the new number
6. Tap Save
7. Restart the iPhone

Thanks.

Hi @Kwanele Z this seems to have worked, I can now call landlines & mobiles and receive calls. Sorry for ranting I was going in circles!

I am still showing No Service on my display for some reason?  Not sure if I’m just defaulting to WiFi calling all the time? I’ll attach a screenshot
