can i cancel my contract and buy a new phone and keep my number

I am due an upgrade but the upgrade is more than If I was to buy a new contract. So could I cancel my current contract and get a new one but keep my number

You do have the option to cancel your current contract and take out a new one, however I do need to make you aware of an important limitation with iD Mobile:

 

👉 Our systems don’t support internal number transfers, so if you cancel and start a new contract with us, you won’t be able to keep your existing number.

 

📱 To keep your current number

The only way to retain your number is to:

  • Proceed with an upgrade on your existing account

 

💬 Other options

  • You can contact our Sales Team on 0800 049 0250 to see what upgrade offers are available
  • They may be able to find a deal that works better for you, although we do not price match new customer offers

I appreciate this may not be the ideal outcome, but I wanted to be clear so you can make an informed decision.

Is there a way to chat to someone about my best option as I believe charging existing customers more is very poor customer services

The offers and pricing you see are set by our system and promotions at the time, so we’re not able to change or override these from here on the Community. Deals can vary between new and existing customers depending on what’s currently available.
