Hi @Boxy,

Thanks for reaching out, we’re sorry to hear about the experience you’ve had especially as you’ve been able to use your hotspot for this before.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like your phone’s hotspot is working (since your Firestick can see and connect to it), but your temperature device isn’t picking it up this time. This can sometimes be due to compatibility or hotspot settings rather than a fault with your service.

Here are a few things worth trying:

  • Double-check that your hotspot is turned on and broadcasting (you could try renaming the network name/SSID)
  • Switch the hotspot band from 5GHz to 2.4GHz in your phone settings, as some devices (like temperature sensors) only support 2.4GHz
  • Make sure there’s no device limit set on your hotspot
  • Restart both your phone and the temperature device
  • Forget the network on the temperature device (if it’s been connected before) and reconnect

As your Firestick is connecting fine, it suggests your data and hotspot are working as expected, but if you’re still having trouble after trying the above, feel free to let us know and we can look into it further with you.

Thanks,

Anneline
