cannot receive texts on my iphone

I noticed that I recently couldn’t receive a 2 factor authorisation code via text on my iPhone. I only joined idmobile in the last month but have been sending and receiving texts up until now.

i have sent texts from another phone and from the smslocal test my phone tool but I don’t receive any of them.

i have tried all the suggestions in the community, I even got a new eSIM which didn’t resolve the issue.

Whenever I go into settings->general->about, I get an alert that there is a network provider settings update which I then press the update button but no update appears to happen.

how can I get idmobile to reprovision texts and sort out the continual network provider settings update.

Yes I have tried everything except the suggestions to do with a physical sim as I have an eSIM. None of them help.

yes i have tried that and all the suggestions on the help pages. I just thought someone might have experienced the same problem and tell me what their solution was. 

I managed to chat to an agent, I couldn’t get the live chat to work on my iPad but it did work on my mac.

the agent was unable to help other than suggest i reset my network settings which would wipe my hundreds of wifi passwords, vpn settings and bluetooth connections which is not practical. it would be easier to transfer to a new network provider. By the way the agent said it would only reset my iMessage mobile number settings.

the agent has forward my request for sms to be reprovisioned on my number to the technical team and has asked me to give them 48 hours for them to fix it.

lets hope this resolves the issue or i will be looking for a new service provider.
