Question

Changing contracts

Good Morning

I have 2 phone contracts with yourselves. One for myself and one for my daughter.  I want  to check how I can transfer one to my daughter's name whilst still retaining the number.Sim only needed.

Secondly,  would you  conduct a hard search if I  were to switch my contract over to a sim only contract?

Thank you

    Hi @Soares1704 ,

Unfortunately, we’re unable to change the account holder’s name on an existing account. However, you can update the Direct Debit details to be in your daughter’s name if you wish, and we can also help you switch the contract to a SIM-only plan while keeping the same number.
The Sales Live Chat during these hours:

    Monday to Friday: 9am – 8pm
    Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays: 9am – 6pm

They’ll guide you through the process and ensure everything is set up smoothly.

    Hi @Lamiya C

What if I  cancel the contract and she takes a sim one for herself,  is there a possibility that she can keep the number she's currently one?

    Thanks

Hi @Soares1704 Our system does not support transferring numbers between iD Mobile contracts internally. I would suggest transferring the number to another carrier and then back onto the new contract to retain the number

But will this work if the contract is not on her name ? I took the contract for her when she was younger but now she needs her own but wants to keep her current number.
