Hi, my mum went on holiday to Tunisia
She says she turned roaming off.
However, when she got the bill, she has been charged for receiving calls from her nephew.
So, what does turning roaming off actually do?
If roaming is turned of, will your phone ring?
will you get SMS messages.
Cheers in advance, Paul.

Hi @Pattayapaul,
Welcome to the Community!
When roaming is enabled it allows data access in a region outside of the UK.
If you wish to stop receiving all services I would advise to enable Airplane mode or remove the SIM.
You would only be charged if the phone was answered.
The roaming charges for Tunisia are outlined below:
Roaming | Pay monthly | Pay-as-you-go**** |
---|
Calls to UK* | £6.00 | £6.00 |
Calls to Tunisia* | £6.00 | £6.00 |
Calls received* | £1.50 | £1.50 |
Texts to Tunisia** | £1.20 | £1.20 |
Texts to UK** | £1.20 | £1.20 |
Picture message (MMS) sent** | £0.60 | £0.60 |
Internet and Data (per MB)*** | £9.60 | £9.60 |
