Error trying to redeem Apple music offer

I can't redeem an offer sent to me via email. The offer was is for Apple Music up to 3 months and when clicking the Redeem button it errors out saying “UID Missing or Incorrect”. Chatbot was completely useless and couldn’t get onto live chat with a real person. Anyone managed to resolve the same issue?
