Why do I keep getting a message saying that you have reached your cap limit when I have a contract for £6 per month???

Hi @Emphret,

I completely understand how frustrating it must be to see a “cap limit reached” message, especially when you’re on a £6/month plan that shouldn’t be happening unexpectedly.

This usually happens if:

  1. Data or usage limits on your plan have been reached, even if it’s just a small allowance
  2. Roaming or certain services (like premium numbers or international calls) can cause the cap message even if your main plan is fine.

You can change your spend cap limit easily using the iD Mobile app:

If you’re using the iD Mobile App (Self Care):

  1. Open the iD Mobile App on your phone.
  2. Tap “My Account” at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select “Spend Cap”.
  4. You’ll see your current cap limit tap “Change Cap”.
  5. Adjust the limit to your preferred amount (you can even set it to £0 if you want to stop any extra charges).
  6. Tap “Save” the change will take effect shortly.

If you’re using the Online Account (Self Care):

  1. Go to https://my.idmobile.co.uk
  2. Log in using your iD Mobile credentials.
  3. Click on “My Account” in the top menu.
  4. Select “Cap Your Bill” or “Spend Cap”.
  5. Move the slider or enter the amount you’d like to set.
  6. Confirm your choice and save the changes

Hope this helps😁
