@Daisy08 -

I didn’t receive a text, but I did get the alert at 3:00pm twice (once for my iD Mobile SIM, again for my Vodafone SIM). Do you have alerts turned on?

I’m using an iPhone:

  1. Open ‘Settings’.

  2. Tap ‘Notifications’.

  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.

  4. Under the "Emergency Alerts" section, make sure that "Extreme Alerts" and "Severe Alerts" are enabled.

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy:

  1. Open ‘Settings’.

  2. Tap ‘Notifications’, then tap ‘Advanced settings’.

  3. Tap ‘Wireless emergency alerts’ from the list.

  4. Make sure the ‘Allow alerts’ toggle is on.

Most other Android phones:

  1. Open ‘Settings’.

  2. Tap ‘Safety & emergency’.

  3. Tap ‘Wireless emergency alerts’.

  4. Check that the ‘Allow alerts’ option is toggled on.

Thanks.

Hi @Daisy08

If you didn't receive the UK emergency alert, it could be due to several reasons. The alert is designed to be sent to specific areas using 4G and 5G networks, and if you are not connected to these networks, you will not receive the alert. Additionally, if your device is not updated to the latest software version, it may not be able to receive the alert. It's also possible that the alert was not sent to your location due to network issues or other technical reasons. You must have been connected to 4G or 5G, 3G would not work. Thanks - Siân
