How can I call Australia from UK?

Hi, I know there are previous topics about this but they didn't publish the answer, as far as I can see.

Why can't I call Australia from the UK?

Everything is set up on my phone and in my plan to allow international calls but it simply won't connect.

Help please!

You need 00 to let the network know it's an international call

Both “00” and “+” are valid. Both should work! If one isn’t, try the other.

Have you set a spend cap on your account or international option is switched off under manage your iD account?

Hi, everything is set to allow international calls, on the phone and in the app, spend cap is set at £10.

Still doesn't work, is there another setting somewhere?

What international dialling format are you using to make the call?

0061 then the Aussie number, called before on other networks, not a problem. ID seems to have a problem and nobody seems to have the answer! Very frustrating.

0061 is valid and should work. Maybe try replacing 00 with a +

You need 00 to let the network know it's an international call, then you put the country code 61.

Never put the + in a call, never needed to.

There is something else going on with ID..…

They don't make it easy.

Hi @Stu6120

The + before calling an international number is valid and its most used, please try that or 00 as @WelshPaul  mentioned.

Thank you.
