I’m having overseas workers reply within messaging & I’m sure they getting things wrong & I need a second opinion.

I asked this:
And how do I find this messaging sections?
As I wish to ask a new question.
Kashif has completely missed the question.

I also asked how to delete voicemails without playing the whole message.
Kashif said this:
o delete voicemails on a Samsung S25 Ultra, open the Phone app, go to the Voicemail tab, and then you can either long-press a message to select it and tap the trash icon, or tap the message to see its details and find the delete icon there

To which I said:
Where is the voicemail tab within the phone app?

I use iOS live voicemail, but I think with iD Mobile’s voicemail service, you press and hold 1 to dial into voicemail and press 3 to delete voicemails. I’m pretty sure you can press 3 at any point during playback to delete the voicemail immediately.

Yes thanks Paul.
My issues was it wasn’t deleting when pressed 3 unless played the whole message to the end. Someone had accidentally called me in their pocket & it was minutes long.

I just tested this by recording a 30-second voicemail, and I can confirm that the message deleted as soon as I pressed 3. Perhaps try disabling Voicemail for 10 minutes and then re-enabling it. This should hopefully fix the issue for you.

Hi @MickRoberts,

Open the Phone App: Tap on the Phone icon on your home screen.
Access Voicemail: Tap on the "Voicemail" tab at the top of the screen. If you don't see this tab, you might need to set up Visual Voicemail first.

iD Mobile doesn’t offer visual voicemail on either Android or iOS.

Thanks Paul, I’ve just left long reply to the ID mobile before you who’s got everything wrong again. How do you know & they don’t? They shouldn’t be working there if can’t answer the basics.

Hi @WelshPaul

You’re absolutely right and that’s a really good summary of how iD Mobile’s voicemail system works

Here’s a quick breakdown, just to confirm everything clearly for you:

 Accessing voicemail

Press and hold 1 on your iD Mobile SIM to dial into voicemail.

If prompted, enter your voicemail PIN.

During playback options:

1 – Replay the message

2 – Save the message

3 – Delete the message (and yes, you can press 3 at any point during playback to delete it immediately)

7 – Skip back

9 – Skip forward

If you’re using iOS Live Voicemail, you’ll still have Apple’s visual interface for screening or reading transcripts, but iD Mobile’s voicemail system is what actually stores and manages the messages so pressing and holding 1 connects you directly to that.

Lunathi, how & why did your other ID employee get this wrong? On a public wall?

This is incorrect. iOS Live Voicemail completely bypasses iD Mobile’s voicemail system, storing any live voicemail recordings on the iOS device.

iOS Live voicemail won’t work if the device is switched off or has no signal. In these cases, calls will use iD Mobile’s voicemail service if but only if enabled.

Thank you, they should pay you. Overseas call centres really frustrate us.
