I have no affiliation whatsoever with iD Mobile or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. Did my comment help answer your question? If so, don't forget to mark the response as the Most Helpful Answer.

    Hi @Smb496 ,

You can turn off the adult content filter in the iD Mobile app by following these steps:

Open the iD Mobile app and log in.

Go to Plan > Manage your iD services.

Select Adult content filter and switch it Off.

If you have any trouble with this, let us know and we’ll guide you through it.

Although I've turned off (and saved) the adult content filter your software still doesn't allow me access to online libraries such as archive.org. Why? If I can't access archive.org it is absolutely pointless using your services and recommending them to others.

    Hi @ASRHArchitect,

We're sorry to hear you're still having trouble accessing the site.

If you've already turned off the Adult Content Filter and saved the changes, we'd recommend checking whether there are any restrictions enabled within your phone or browser settings.

    For iPhone:

    1. Go to Settings > Screen Time.
    2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.
    3. Select Content Restrictions > Web Content.
    4. Make sure Unrestricted Access is selected.

    For Android:
(Steps may vary depending on your device.)

    1. Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls.
    2. Check that Parental Controls are turned off.
    3. If you're using Google Family Link, ensure there are no web restrictions enabled.
    4. Also check your browser settings for any safe browsing or content filtering options that may be enabled.

If you've checked all of the above and you're still unable to access the website, please let us know:

    • The make and model of your phone.
    • Which browser you're using.
    • Whether the website works when connected to Wi-Fi.

We'll be happy to investigate further.

    Regards,

I've read some absolute tosh. My adult content filter is turned off. It has been since I joined. ID's software randomly stops access to Archive.org. It works for a few days and just stops access due to ID insisting that 'Adult  Content Filter' is switched on. My question is as I've just joined, how long is the cooling off period as I wish to leave ID;? far too unreliable. No way in a thousand years would I recommend ID to anyone.

    Hi @ASRHArchitect,

We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing this issue, and we understand how frustrating it must be.

If your Adult Content Filter is already switched off but you're still being blocked from accessing Archive.org, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Service team via Live Chat so they can log a technical ticket and investigate what's causing the issue.

If you'd still prefer to cancel your agreement, you can find information about our returns and cooling-off period here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/returns-cancellations

If you have any questions after reviewing the information, our Live Chat team will be happy to assist further.
