How do you get to talk to a customer service advisor?


Is it a thing of the past to get to talk to another human being to ask a question? Preferably one who works for the company and understands how to find the answer to complex questions

Clearly not. It's been nearly 13 hours since I asked a question. 

What happens if you need your SIM card troubleshooting? 

 

Is there ANY actual customer chat line at all?

Hello Nat, no I haven't been able to speak to a live chat person. All I've found is an annoying bot.

iD is an online service hence the low cost of tariffs provided. They are available on social media or via the live chat for support. 

Please use the iD online Live Chat service, to speak to a customer adviser.   

The advisers work until 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends - just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”.

It's the fourth day now with no data. I've already agreed to pay for the new service that hasn't been provided 

 

I can't see this ending soon. 

I've had to purchase a data sim from argos.

As per ​@MZone’s post above, the very reason iD Mobile, SMARTY, Voxi and a few other MVNOs are able to offer us such low-cost plans is by not having to pay for huge call centres ​@Forcryingoutloud. All of the above networks are transparent about this!

Getting help with iD Mobile isn’t difficult. You have the following options available to you:

  1. Live chat (just tell the bot you need to speak to a person) *Quickest method to get help
  2. Facebook *Send a DM
  3. Twitter or X * Send a DM
  4. iD Mobile community forum *Slowest method to get help

There are additional methods of support available to disabled and vulnerable customers. If you don’t wish to utilise any of the three methods, I'm sure ​@Tom will be able to assist you via the iD Mobile community forums private message system.


Yes. I've done all the above.

Four days later I'm still using data from another card I had to buy.

I have no idea what's going on. No-one is communicating at all. They just say "we're dealing with it". But nothing has happened
