Hi @Dawhite

You can keep track of your roaming usage through the iD Mobile app or your online account.

When you’re travelling, any usage in the EU will be taken from your inclusive roaming allowance, while usage in the UK will come from your standard monthly plan. These are tracked together in your account, so you’ll see your overall data, minutes, and texts usage rather than a fully separated UK vs EU breakdown.

To monitor what you’ve used each month:

  • Log in to the iD Mobile app or My Account online
  • Check your usage/allowances section to see how much data, minutes, and texts you have remaining
  • Review your recent activity or bill for a more detailed view of when and where usage occurred

If you’re regularly switching between the UK and EU, it’s a good idea to check your usage frequently to avoid unexpected charges once your allowance is used up. Please keep your bill CAP on £0 to avoid out of plan charges.

I have now found that on my iPhone under mobile service there is a data used counter that you can reset when you go abroad and start using roaming data and so keep a tab on how much you have used this way.

Hi @Dawhite ,

That’s great,  yes, that’s actually a really useful way to monitor it.

The iPhone “Mobile Data Usage” counter is a good manual tracker, especially if you reset it when you start travelling. It can help you keep an eye on your usage in real time while abroad.

Just a couple of important points:

• It’s a device-level tracker, so it’s not always 100% identical to network billing
• Your iD Mobile usage records in the app/account are still the official source for billing and allowances
• Best practice is to use both together — your iPhone counter for day-to-day monitoring, and the iD app for official allowance tracking

So you’re absolutely right! it’s a smart way to stay on top of roaming usage, just don’t rely on it as the only source
