I am happy with the service and would like to lock the price in

Sorry, you can't change your plan

Your iD Mobile plan was purchased less than 31 days ago.

Please try again on 12/09/2025.

It’s the 12th today. If I wait until tomorrow will the next month on my monthly plan have started?

Your help elsewhere states 30 days

IT CAN’T BE DONE

I cannot change my rolling one month plan to a 24 month plan within 6 months

I could have ported in my number to a 24 month contract a month ago instead

I can take out a new 24 month contract now, but would not be able to port my ID rolling number to it

I can cancel and port my number to another supplier, take out a new 24 month contract with ID and port the number back to ID - that would be quicker than waiting 6 months

It’s completely mad

OK, today the 13th I can choose Change Plan, but changing from by month to 24 month contract does not seem to be possible without starting a new plan, which would be in addition

Are you on a 30 day rolling SIM @neutronwrangler ?

Yes, I wanted to check out ID before committing to a long contract. After a month I am happy so want to go ahead with 24 months.

They can’t help me, they say there is no way to go from rolling month to 24 month contract - gave me the complaints number as there is no Customer Services, and they confirmed that what I want to do is not possible.

The only things I can do are (as outline above):

Wait 6 months

Take out a new 24 month contract now, but I would not be able to port my ID rolling number to it, a number I have had for many years and only just ported in

Cancel ID and port my number to another supplier, take out a new 24 month contract with ID and port the number back to ID - that would be quicker than waiting 6 months

None of them are really acceptable to me, if I go wih the last I might as well stay there if I can get a good deal

I am trying to give iD Mobile my business

When you have a minimum term contract of one month with iD Mobile, you’ll have to wait six months before you can upgrade.

When you have no contract with iD Mobile you can enter into a 24 month contract straight away.

There is no logic, they have my DD bank details, and have paid via them - surely I am a good risk, better than someone off the street

Yours is a terrible answer, but the best so far
