I am experiences a delay in receiving SMS messages. Specifically notifications of missed calls and authorisation codes that support logins (for multifactor authentication). Please advise

I have had the issue for approx 2-3 weeks. It is for SMS messages iMessage work fine. It is very inconvenient when I am trying to gain access to a site/account using a 6 digit code for MFA. It is also hours late in informing me of a missed call by text.iPhone 16G847HF
