My unanswered calls wont go to voicemail anymore. I recorded my own message, played around with the number of ring times before it goes to voice mail but it doesn’t work anymore. I have tried everything from chaging the ring time to 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds. I am so frustrated. I had just wanted a standard greeting like the other networks do without giving my name and voice But trying to change the message and changing the number of ring time has messed everything. Please help! Otherwise I will have to go to another network. There is no customer service to help, only automated prompts

Sorry to hear this @Spks

Please can you try following this guide to set it up again - How do I set up my Voicemail? | iD Mobile Community

Thank you, I have gone through all that. So what I really wanted was  2- things

1)-to reduce the ring time to 20 seconds instead of default 30 seconds.

2)-to be able to go to voicemail if a call was unanswered.

So I have had a little bit success. I seem to be able to do one or the other, not both.

I went into my phone app went into call forwarding- It had 3 different settings- when busy or unreachable the number was set to +447782333123. But when unanswered it was 123.

I changed the option for unanswered to full number as the other options +447782333123.

Then my voicemail started to work for the unanswered calls. But the length of the rings was still 30 seconds. When I changed the ring length to 20 seconds using **61*123**20# it worked and the ring time was reduced but it wasn’t going to voicemail.

If I use **61*+447782333123**20# , it says accepted but when I recheck by calling *#61# the ring time still says 30 seconds and actually rings for 30 seconds.

So, so far I can get the voicemail but the ring time is still 30 seconds. Which is annoying as most people dont wait for that long to leave a message.

If anyone has found a way around this would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi @Spks

In the iD Mobile app, is voicemail switched on?

Yes it is on. It does go to voicemail in all situations. Except the ring time is 30 seconds. When I reduce it, other voice mail like busy or unreachable does work, but unanswered one says sorry your call could not be connected or something like that after ringing.

Hi @Spks

I’m not quite sure I understand the post above, when you have the ring time set as 30 seconds, it’s all fine.

But when you change that to let’s say 15 seconds, it doesn’t work at all anymore and the calls don’t connect, correct?

I have exactly the same issue.

If I use *61* ie divert when unanswered
and set the phone number for the unanswered call to go to , to 123 (ie idmobile voicemail)
it allows me to set the time the caller has to wait till the call is diverted
The syntax is *61*123**10# for a divert to 123 after 10 seconds
checking with*#61* the phone informs me
---“iD Mobile message
---Call forwarding
---Voice: 123 after 10 seconds”

***so, it accepts the 10 second wait, before trying to transfer the caller to 123

***PROBLEM is when idmobile tried to forward the call to 123,
the caller gets “Sorry your call cannot be connected”
ie 123 isn’t being linked to idmobile voicemail

A workaround is
to replace “123” with the long telephone number for idmobile voicemail service ie +44778233123
So the syntax is *61*+447782333123#
This will divert the caller to voicemail ----> but after 30 seconds <----

asking it to divert earlier has no effect
ie *61*+447782333123**10#
-→ will NOT divert after 10 seconds <---

Any ideas?
Thanks
Liam
