I want to cancel my plan while still in contract

I want to cancel my plan as I no longer use the number, but I want to keep the phone and use a different SIM (pay as you go with a different provider). I’m still in contract until April 2026. I’ve followed the steps to do this through the Id Mobile app and online account but it just sends me round an endless loop in Live Chat - I can’t get the chatbot to understand what I want to do.

Can I simply reset the phone, set it up again with the new SIM and carry on paying for the plan until it ends?

Apologies for the above response, Yes, you can reset your phone and use a new SIM from another provider while continuing to pay for your iD Mobile plan until April 2026. The phone is yours to use as you wish.
If you’d still like to cancel your plan early, please note that this may involve an early termination fee.

-Gather supporting documents –

  1. A copy of the debt collection letter
    2. Bank statements showing the payments
    3. Any proof of identity theft (e.g., lost ID report or police reference number)
