if I take my iPhone abroad, can I use an eSIM from another in my idmobile issued phone? Is it open to use other networks?

Yes, all phones sold by iD Mobile are unlocked so you can use an additional eSIM. I’d also suggest taking a look at our Roam Beyond Add-Ons, depending on which country you visit! They work in 50 countries and use your iD Mobile SIM:
