Iphone 15 pro max Wifi Calling Not working!

Hi all, new to the community.  I was previously on ID a couple year back and it all worked perfect, had good signal too, i eventually moved to GiffGaff, had no issues there either, wifi calling was working on any network ive previously had.

I came back to ID just a week or so back after the Three/Voda joinup and i am shocked to see the decline of the Three network in my town along with any mvno using Three, its real bad, im lucky most days if i get 1 bar signal, some days its none, and yet the phone mast by the river is only half a mile away, What is going on !!!!, why has Three now got such poor service.

I am missing loads of calls and texts and frankly its unacceptable, the network coverage map clearly LIES when you check it because it says i should have good 4g coverage in and out of my home, it also reports no known issues.

To say im disappointed is an understatement, so i am going to be very very reliant on wifi calling working, and its not, it was working fine when i took the giffgaff sim out, but now, nothing, and im not getting any indication on my screen of it working.

Ive tried all the usual stuff, remove, reinsert sim,  checked my phone number is entered in settings it is, toggled wifi calling on and off multiple times, also done that in airplane mode, ive reset network settings twice etc.

And now i cant just ring someone for help, no helpline its all live chat, PLEASE if anyone has any advice, or maybe a tutorial or trick ive not seen to fix this please let me know.

My personal feeling is the problem is IDs end, not mine, i do know if i haven't fixed it by the end of play today i will be getting my pac and leaving immediately because im not paying for a service im not receiving.

Any help please?.

Hi @LILY0987.

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your signal.  I appreciate how frustrating that must be, especially when it affects your calls.

So we can look into this properly for you, could you please share:

Your full postcode
The make and model of your device

Once we have that, we can check the network in your area and run some more specific troubleshooting for your phone.

Thanks,

Marquerita

Hi @LILY0987,

I am so sorry to hear that you are having issues with signal.

I have checked the coverage for your postcode area BT306PD and can confirm that there are no reported issues. The coverage is showing as perfect.

Please could you try the below troubleshooting steps:
1. Go to General, scroll down and click reset or transfer iPhone.
2. Reset
3. Reset Network Settings.
4. Once the iPhone is open.
5. Go to Settings
6. Messages Turn ON iMessage.
7.This will recognize the new sim and have it verified.

Regards,

Hi @LILY0987.

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear you’re still only seeing 2 bars on your device. I appreciate how frustrating that can be.

To help improve your connection, I’d recommend trying a replacement SIM card, as this can often resolve signal and network registration issues.

You can get a replacement SIM in one of two ways:

Visit your nearest Currys store and request a replacement SIM, or
Contact us directly via live chat and we can arrange for one to be sent straight to your address: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

Once you’ve received the new SIM, simply visit this site to have it activated www.idmobile.co.uk/yoursim.

If you still experience issues after this, we’ll be happy to take a closer look for you.

Thanks,

Marquerita
