Got an email from complaintsteam@idmobile.co.uk about a complaint id made and they’re asking for loads of security information and haven’t signed it off with anything really is this a scam

    Even though they give all the correct information e.g. iD Mobile Complaints Team contact phone number, you are right in questioning if this is legitimate.
    Also, a genuine email from iD Mobile will list a lot of info, with regards to the company, at the base of any email sent from them. Like this:-

    How do I know this email really came from iD Mobile?

     

    This email contains the last 4 digits of your account and mobile number. It also contains your first name if given to us. If we ever ask you to make a payment or update your details, we'll include all three in the email (whenever possible).

    If you have logged a complaint against iD Mobile then you can contact their Complaints Team on [number removed] or 0800 049 1300 to discuss it.

    According to the AI reply, when doing an internet search of ‘is complaintsteam@idmobile.co.uk a genuine email address’, this is the reply:-

    Based on community reports, the email address complaintsteam@idmobile.co.uk should be treated with caution and is likely not a genuine, active contact method for iD Mobile.
