Issue with SMS and making some calls

I've recently joined Id mobile and ported my number over from previous network via PAC code over a week ago. When I send SMS Messages the recipients receive the text from the number I was assigned when I took out the contract, therefore, I ain't receiving a response.

I do receive messages if sent directly to my number (orginial brought over number).

I have also noticed that I can't call a number that is on a sky contract. It starts with 074 but keeps saying number is invalid. Why is this? Never had any issues with previous provider. The number is not invalid as they are able to contact me.

07459 numbers are officially allocated to Lycamobile, not Sky. Obviously, the person you’re calling ported their number over to Sky. Technically, though, you’re calling a Lycamobile number!

It’s possible that the issue isn’t with you, your device, or iD Mobile. The issue might be their end. It’s possible that they have what is known in the industry as a split port. Can they receive calls from anyone on the THREE network or any MVNO that uses the THREE network?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with iD Mobile or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. Did my comment help answer your question? If so, don't forget to mark the response as the Most Helpful Answer.

    Hi thanks for your reply.

Prior to me joining ID mobile I was with Lebara and had no issues. They are able to call me fine and doesn't have the issue with other people contacting them.

Do you have any advice on how this can be resolved?

I have been able to contact others on Lybra fine
