Yes, if you requested a PAC code through the “Leave iD Mobile” section in the app, that’s the correct first step.

However, the PAC request on its own does not immediately close your account or start a 30-day notice period. The cancellation process is only completed once you provide that PAC code to your new network and the number transfer (porting) is successfully completed.

Once your number is transferred to your new provider, your iD Mobile account will automatically close, and your final bill will be produced up to the date of disconnection.

So in short:

• PAC request = request to leave
• PAC used with new provider = triggers the actual disconnection with iD Mobile

You won’t be billed for two contracts for the same service period, but you may receive a final bill from iD Mobile covering usage up to the date your number moves across.
