I'm looking for a data only sim for a mifi in the car, ideally one with around 5 - 25 GB which does not expire and can be topped up.

Okay @stephenco, just a couple of things to know:

  • iD don’t have any data only SIM products;
  • iD only support use of their SIM cards in mobile phones.

Their SIM might work in your MiFi router, but if it doesn’t iD won’t offer any support.

Hey there @stephenco, as kindly advised by @andewhite, we don’t offer data only contracts. However, practically most contracts come with unlimited calls/texts as a given nowadays, and don’t really affect the price of anything.

As also advised by @andewhite, we don’t officially support the usage of our SIM cards in anything other than handsets, and the handsets approved on our website. So anything outside of that may or may not work I’m afraid. Of course you’re more than welcome to try, and have a returns period if it doesn’t and you wish to return within that time-frame.

Thanks,

Tyler

Is there any planned change from ID Mobile to offer Data Only SIM Plans?

Hey there @lpr841, we haven’t got any news to give on this I’m afraid, however, it’s pretty standard for all contracts with all networks to come with texts and calls nowadays.

Thanks,

Tyler
