Since I have switched to an ID sim, when my phone is switched off, and someone calls me ,instead of my phone simply having the missed call and caller on my call feature, it appears in my messages with no name just a number... I have never known this before.

Thank you for getting in touch. I understand how this change can be confusing.
What you are experiencing is due to voicemail-to-text (missed call notification via SMS), which is a network feature on iD Mobile. When your phone is switched off or unavailable, callers may be diverted to voicemail and you may receive an automated text message showing the caller’s number rather than their saved contact name. This is normal network behaviour and does not affect your call history.
Please note that contact names are stored on your phone, so when the notification is sent as a text message from the network, it will usually display only the number and not the contact name.
