Hi I can't make calls without being connected to WiFi

What happens when you try and call whilst Wi-Fi is off?

Please can you test the SIM in another handset?

Are you having any issues with SMS and data?

I tried to make a phone call last night while I was out of the house. It said no network connection. I did have my mobile data turned on.

I have tried my sim in my old Huawei p20 lite and it works perfectly. 

I also tried my late husbands sim in my Samsung Galaxy a52s phone and that did not work either. I’ve really just noticed my problems since the ID app was updated. I really do need my phone as I’m 66 years old with COPD and HEART ISSUES.  So I need to be able to contact my family or doctors if I’m not well.

Does your late husband’s SIM work in your old Huawei P20 Lite, @Chris247

The ‘new’ iD app should not be inhibiting anyone’s ability to make & receive calls, nor send & receive text messages.

Perhaps in your circumstances, @Chris247, it’s worth looking at the “Accessibility on iD Mobile” page on the iD website.

Check online at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/legal/accessibility - there’s vulnerable customer information.

I have taken my phone to Curry’s and the settings are all ok. But there is a problem with my phone so it has been sent off for repair.
