New contract phone, no signal


Ordered new phone but no signal when inserted SIM, tried SIM in old phone and get signal, please help.

This is my signal right now. 
new contract done the signal checker before changing from EE which said it was excellent in my area but is absolutely rubbish unless I have internet there is no phone 

Any suggestions??

Just to confirm when you insert the iD Mobile SIM into another handset the coverage improves?

If so this would point to a handset issue, if the issue persists we can send you a PM to check the coverage further.
