Question

new customer, cant enable Call Forwarding

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

I’ve just moved two accounts over to ID Mobile. I really need to use call forwarding but I can’t seem to enable it.

On my iPhone, in phone settings, I select Call Forwarding, turn it on, get to a screen where I can enter a number but when I click back, the feature just turns straight off.

I’ve tried using the *21*number# method but that also fails.

  Anybody got any suggestions?

Hi @JustEddy

Welcome and thank you for getting in touch.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues activating call forwarding.

Which model of iPhone are you using please?

Thanks,

Natalie

Hi,

  It`s an iPhone 16.

I did a live chat yesterday and today with IDmobile support, but this hasn't been resolved.

They had me reset my network settings on the iPhone. Went through the Settings, Apps, Phone, Call Forwarding, select the line, enable forwarding and enter the number etc.. Whenever I use the back arrow (the way you save the entered number), call forwarding defaults straight to OFF again and never saves the number.

At this stage the only resolution I can see is to move provider, unless you have any options?

Does ID Mobile actually 100% support call forwarding?

In theory, iD Mobile support call forwarding, @JustEddy

Perhaps their network configuration/settings for the iPhone 16 (being relatively new) aren’t correct at the moment.

Switching may be the only option if this is a must have network service.

You could be right, i cant see why it would be different on the iPhone 16 but I guess it`s possible.

I have another esim on the same phone and that can divert just fine (that`s a giff gaff sim), so I know the feature does work. It also worked on my EE esim before I swapped to ID mobile.

Hang on, I think I've done it!

I found some commands online that you can dial. So I repeatedly sent *002*number# and on one of the attempts, I got a full list of successful results.

Just tested and the divert is working!!

The call forwarding option in the phone doesn't work still, but the actual divert is working.

Hi @JustEddy

Glad to hear the divert is working, as mentioned we do absolutely support it so there’s no reason on our side we’d know of that it wouldn’t work specifically on the iPhone 16.
