no 5g abroad

Yet again I am without connection abroad. This time it’s Spain despite being told it’s all included in allowances. 
same for turkey, Prague, America it never works!!!!

will I ever have connection in Spain or will I need to buy an e-sim again? 
why are you selling a product that never works?

Thanks for getting in touch, and we’re really sorry to hear you’ve had repeated issues using your service abroad. We completely understand how frustrating that must feel, especially if you’ve experienced this across multiple trips.

 

For Spain specifically, if your allowances should be active but nothing is working, we’d recommend trying the below before purchasing another eSIM:

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Mobile Network / Cellular
  • Make sure Data Roaming is switched ON
  • Open Network Operators / Network Selection
  • Turn Automatic selection OFF
  • Wait for available networks to load
  • Manually connect to:
    • Yoigo
    • Movistar

 

After connecting:

  • Restart the device
  • Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF
  • Wait a few minutes and test mobile data again

 

If it still does not work:

  • Perform a Network Reset
    • iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    • Android: Settings > General Management / System > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  • Remove and reinsert the SIM if applicable

 

As you’ve mentioned this has happened in multiple countries previously, it may be worth having the roaming features checked directly on the account.

I have done all of these with exception of the reset as I do not trust that my phone will work if I do. 
I always get a text when I land anywhere but then after nothing connects when you search it’s multiple people all of the time it’s not an isolated incident or just me. 
 

how can I speak to an actual person about this?
