I have mobile data but calls and texts don’t work

Hi ​@Numaan,

 

I’m really sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your calls and texts, I can imagine how frustrating that can be.

 

Here’s some ways to get this sorted.

 

First, a couple of basics:

  • Make sure your number is showing correctly in your phone settings
  • Check that Airplane mode isn’t turned on
  • Try restarting your phone

 

For iPhone:

  • Go to Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm your number is correct
  • To reset network settings, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  • (This will remove saved WiFi passwords, so you’ll need to reconnect afterwards)

 

For Android:

  • Go to Settings > About Phone > Status > SIM Status (this may vary slightly by device) and check your number is correct
  • To reset network settings, go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings (wording may differ depending on your handset)

 

It may also be worth it to try removing and reinserting your SIM card to see if this resolves the issue.
