no networy despite 4 bars of signal

Hi. I show has having 4 bars of signal strength but I still have no network connection. This occurs in at least one particular area but not everywhere.  I have tried the usual steps including resetting network settings. On iPhone 16 Pro Max in TS9 postcode area. Please help

    I’m really sorry to hear you’re experiencing this. I understand how frustrating it is when your phone shows good signal but you still can’t get a working connection, especially in a specific area.

    Thanks for already trying the basic troubleshooting, that really helps.
     

    Please try a few additional steps:
    Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then off again
    Restart your iPhone
    Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Network Selection and try switching automatic off, then back on
    Ensure your iOS is fully updated
    If possible, test the SIM in another location or device
     

    As this is happening in a specific postcode area (TS9), it may be linked to local network performance or mast issues affecting service despite showing signal bars.
