My switch date was yesterday and said it was completed however I have no signal and cannot send messages

Sometime the porting may be completed the following day regardless of your message stating it been done. There's a number of reasons why this may be happening to you.
Turn your phone off for about 5 minutes and turn back on and manually scan for networks on your device and pick IDMobile to see if this make a difference.
