I’ve switched to ID and requested to keep my old number. When I’ve set up my eSIM it’s given me a new number. How to I change this to my old one?

    Hi @Birdie93,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

The new number showing on your eSIM is your temporary iD Mobile number. If you’ve already submitted your PAC code, your old number should replace the temporary number once the transfer has completed.

If you haven’t yet submitted your PAC code, you can transfer your old number by following these steps:

    1. Log in to the iD Mobile app or My Account.
    2. Go to Plan.
    3. Scroll down and select Switch to iD.
    4. Select I want to keep my old number (PAC).
    5. Enter the mobile number you want to keep and your PAC code.
    6. Select an available switch date.
    7. Confirm the request.

If you’ve already received confirmation that your number transfer has completed but your phone is still showing the temporary number, please try the steps below.

    For Android:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap General Management.
    3. Tap Reset.
    4. Select Reset network settings.
    5. Restart your phone once completed.

    For iPhone:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap My Number.
    4. Delete the temporary number.
    5. Enter your transferred/current number.
    6. Tap Save.

    Then refresh iMessage:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap Messages.
    3. Turn iMessage OFF.
    4. Go to Settings > General.
    5. Select Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
    6. Choose Reset Network Settings.
    7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings > Messages.
    8. Turn iMessage ON again.

Your iPhone should then recognise and verify your transferred number.

Please note that resetting your network settings may remove saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth connections.
