OTP and shortcode messages are not working

Since switching to iD mobile, I cannot receive any OTP or any shortcode messages. I've tried all the suggestions online and nothing works. I tried contacting iD but that doesn't work either! It's so frustrating. I need to access my banking apps and without being able to receive a one time pass code, I can't do that!

I do apologise that you are unable to receive One Time PIN from bank. Please check if the number is correct under settings. 

 

📱 iPhone Check & Update Number + Network Reset

 

Please follow the steps below:

🔎 Check your number

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Phone
  • Select My Number
  • Confirm which number is currently displayed

If the number shown is incorrect:

  • Tap the field and enter the correct mobile number
  • Please note: it may not save immediately on first attempt — this is normal
  • Confirm once updated

If the issue continues:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap General
  • Scroll down and select Transfer or Reset iPhone
  • Tap Reset
  • Select Reset Network Settings
  • Enter passcode if prompted
  • Confirm reset

 

🤖 Android – Check & Correct Number + Fix SMS Issues


🔎 Check SIM number

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap About Phone or About Device
  • Tap Status
  • Select SIM Status or SIM Card Status
  • Look for My Phone Number

✏️ If number needs updating (Messages app fix)

If the wrong number appears in messaging:

  • Open Messages app
  • Tap More (⋮)
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Advanced
  • Select Phone number
  • Edit and enter correct SIM number
  • Tap OK

Also please try the SIM in another handset
