OTP texts, only some being received

Just recently I have not been receiving some OTP texts. 

Rcs chat has been disabled and reset 

Message cache cleared 

Restart completed 

Still same , receive not others. 

Currently not receiving Shawbrook bank, Standard life pensions. 

Santander ok.

In some cases, OTP or short code texts can be blocked directly on the handset, particularly through spam protection, message filtering, or blocked number settings.

Please check the following on the handset:

For Android:

  • Check blocked numbers:
  • Open the Messages app
  • Tap the profile icon or 3 dots
  • Spam & blocked
  • Blocked numbers
  • Ensure the shortcode or sender is not listed

Disable Spam Protection temporarily:

  • Open Messages
  • Tap profile icon
  • Messages settings
  • Spam protection
  • Turn “Enable spam protection” OFF temporarily

Check permissions:

  • Settings
  • Apps
  • Messages
  • Permissions
  • Ensure SMS permissions are enabled

Reset APN settings:

  • Settings
  • Connections
  • Mobile Networks
  • Access Point Names
  • Tap 3 dots
  • Reset to default

Please also:

  • Ensure “Do Not Disturb” is not filtering messages
  • Check if any third-party security or spam apps are installed
  • Try setting Google Messages as the default messaging app if not already

If the issue still continues afterwards, it may indicate the sender’s verification provider is failing to deliver to the network route correctly rather than the handset itself.
