I ordered a new phone in April, it should come.with free buds and a chromebook. Now been told it wont arrive until June, which will be over the 30 day claim period for the chromebook. I require the physical phone to be able to give them my iemi number for the chromebook. Anyone had the same issue and any advice on how to ensure I get the chromebook??

Hi @Jontyc,

Thank you for your message.

We’re sorry to hear about the delay with your order and the inconvenience this is causing, especially with the promotional items and the time-sensitive claim process. We understand how frustrating it must be when you’re unable to complete the claim within the expected timeframe due to circumstances outside your control.

Please rest assured that this is a known issue with promotional, retrospective claims. In similar cases, the manufacturer’s promotion team (for example, Samsung) will usually honour the claim based on the original order date, rather than the delivery date, particularly where delays are outside of the customer’s control.

We would recommend keeping hold of your order confirmation and any communication regarding the delivery delay, as this may be required when submitting your claim. Once your device arrives, you should still be able to proceed with the claim and provide the IMEI number at that stage.

Thanks.

Many thanks for your response and advice. I will indeed try to claim once the phone eventually arrives.

Have a great day.
