Time for a new phone perhaps?

If under a year old, go back to retailer.

Hi @Nicolamckenna1810

You don’t say what the make/model of the phone you have.
Was this purchased through a contract with iD Mobile?
Are you using the correct cable to charge the phone?
Have you tried an internet search to see if this problem is common with regards to your phones make/model (as this can be the case sometimes)?

As @Geluk states, if this was purchased elsewhere:-

In the UK, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a

legal right to a full refund for a faulty phone if you return it within 30 days of taking ownership.

After the initial 30 days, you lose the short-term right to reject the goods for a full refund. Your rights then transition to requesting a repair or replacement.

Your Rights Timeline for a Faulty Phone

Time Period
  Your Rights Key Condition
0-30 days Full refund, repair, or replacement. You choose. The fault is assumed to have been present at the time of purchase.
30 days to 6 months Repair or replacement (retailer chooses the cheaper option). If unsuccessful, you can claim a full or partial refund. The burden of proof is on the retailer to prove the item wasn't faulty when you bought it.
6 months to 6 years Repair or replacement; possible partial refund. The burden of proof shifts to you to prove the fault was present at the time of purchase.

Hope this helps x
