Poor Signal in all towns and work place

Ive taken up a contract with ID mobile and regretting it. Never had an issue beforehand and the coverage said all good when I checked and changed. Initially I had issues whereby couldn't call out and that was resolved. I have now got issues with calls just hanging up mid sentence. Low signal everywhere I go. I get people on the phone say I keep cutting out and they can't hear me or I can hear myself. Its just continuous and im not very happy im stuck in this contract. Any ideas please? I dont think I will be renewing if this carries on as I need a reliable connection and signal strength whi h I previously had with Vodafone for years.

 Hi @DesignsbySarah1989,

I’m really sorry to hear you’re having ongoing issues with calls cutting out and low signal.

As a first step, we’d recommend running through a few quick checks as this type of issue is often linked to network registration or settings:

  • Restart your phone
  • Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF
  • Check if WiFi Calling is enabled (this can help improve call stability indoors)
  • Try switching between 4G/5G Auto and 4G only in your mobile network settings
  • Remove and reinsert the SIM (if physical SIM)

Network reset (recommended)

  • iPhone:
    • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  • Android:
    • Settings > System / General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings

This can often resolve issues where calls drop or audio becomes unstable.

If the issue continues after trying the above, we’d recommend contacting our Live Chat team so they can run a full check on your line and investigate further, as they’ll be able to see if there’s anything network-side affecting your service specifically: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Hi Gemma,

Thank you for your reply.

The instructions above are what I had to do to resolve the first issue I had of not being able to call out. How many times do I have to do this? Ive never had to do it before.

Thanks.

Sarah
