Question

'Private Number' showing on ALL incoming calls

Hi, I'm looking for some advice regarding an incoming caller ID issue on ID Mobile. Since yesterday, all incoming calls are showing as "Private Number", including contacts and known numbers. I'm using an eSIM on a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. I've reset network settings, reinstalled the eSIM, tested in Safe Mode, and confirmed IMS is registered and the phone is in service. I also tested a SIM from a different network in the same handset and caller ID worked normally, which suggests the issue is specific to my ID Mobile line. The call log also records every call as "Private Number". Has anyone experienced this?

    Hi @SnosRap75,

Thanks for providing all the troubleshooting you've already completed.

Based on everything you've described, it does sound as though the issue may be related to the iD Mobile line rather than the handset itself, particularly as:

    • Caller ID works correctly with a SIM from another network
    • The issue persists after a network reset and eSIM reinstallation
    • The calls are also recorded as "Private Number" in the call log

We're not aware of any widespread issues currently affecting Caller ID, so this isn't something we'd expect to see under normal circumstances.

As you've already completed the standard troubleshooting steps, we'd recommend contacting our Live Chat team so they can investigate the provisioning of your line and check whether there are any account-specific issues affecting incoming Caller ID presentation.

You can contact them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

    Regards,

    Hi,

I have since tried a new physical sim card and the issue still persists.

Technical support just keep telling my it will be escalated and they are looking at it…..

It’s a joke. I have a brand new phone and cant see who is calling me at any time and ID mobile show no real sign of fixing the issue.

How can speak to a senior person?

    Hi @SnosRap75

Have you had a chance to try the SIM card in another phone? This can help determine whether the issue is related to the SIM card or the device. Please check whether calls on the other device experience the same problem and whether the call information is displayed correctly.

I have the same problem, I am putting it down to a glitch in Samsung One UI 9 BETA software which I have recently installed. The beta version 2 seems to be the culprit. The beta community is reporting that it seems to be only the three network affected and those carriers who use it, likes of ID mobile, smarty etc... hopefully this has been sorted by the time beta 3 is released...
