Problem with an outstanding bill

I need help settling a payment issue urgently.  I believe I have paid the outstanding amount and closed the account but have now been contacted by debt collectors for the same amount. How can I resolve this?

Have you tried calling the payment line or the Debt Collection Agency?

Once the disconnection was processed did you pay the final bill?

Yes I paid the final bill and closed the account with ID. I’m now being asked for the exact same amount again.
