Hey there @brittlemark1709, we hope the kind advice from @andewhite has been able to help.

If you need a PUK code to unlock a SIM, we can also get you one, and if you need a PAC code to transfer your number to another network, we can also help with doing so.

Thanks,

Tyler

How do I obtain a PUC Code for my ID mobile now that I am out of contract? I can't find a phone or email contact for them.

Hi @Cainy8362

I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving iD mobile, the details on how to request a PAC code are in the articles mentioned above.

You have 30 days to give your PAC to your new network provider, otherwise your account will stay open with us and you’ll be billed as usual. Here’s how to request a PAC or STAC:

  • Via Text.

Using your iD Mobile SIM, text PAC & your Date of Birth (DDMMYY) to 65075 or STAC & your Date of Birth (DDMMYY) to 75075

  • In the iD Mobile app or My Account Online.

To disconnect in the iD Mobile app or My Account Online, you can:

  1. Open the iD Mobile app or log-in to My Account Online.
  2. Tap ‘Plan’.
  3. Tap ‘Leave iD’.
  4. Tap ‘Get PAC code’ or ‘Get STAC code’.
  5. Tap ‘Yes, proceed’.

If you’d like some further support with this, please get in touch via our Socials (Facebook or Instagram), Live Chat, Community (private message), or email us at socialqueries@idmobile.co.uk and outline the details of your query. We’d love the opportunity to put things right for you.

Regards,
Hosai

It is not a PAC code that I need. It is a PUC or PUK I believe. I think that my phone is locked to a particular network (ID Mobile). But now that I am out of contract, I wish to unlock it so that I am able to go with another network. Am I correct in thinking I need a PUC / PAK code?

A PUK code is used to unblock a SIM card that has been locked after entering an incorrect PIN code three times in a row.

Handsets haven’t been sold locked to a network in years. What phone do you have and where did you get it?

Hi @Cainy8362

All iD mobile handsets are unlocked and not locked to iD so this is not required.

A PUK is used to unlock a sim card that is locked.
