Hi @Silver26

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having ongoing issues with RCS messaging on your Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. I appreciate how important this feature is, and I understand how frustrating it must be, especially as it previously worked on your original number.

As this issue began after your number was transferred using a PAC code, it’s likely that the RCS registration is still holding old network information from the previous setup. This is a known behaviour with RCS after number porting and can sometimes prevent the service from completing its registration properly, leaving it stuck on “Connecting”.

Please try the following steps to reset and refresh the RCS connection:

1. Reset RCS / Chat Features

  • Open Google Messages
  • Tap your profile icon > Messages settings
  • Go to RCS chats
  • Turn RCS off, restart your phone, then turn it back on

2. Clear Messages app cache

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage & cache
  • Tap Clear cache (do not clear data unless necessary)

3. Reset Carrier Services

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Carrier Services
  • Tap Force Stop, then Clear cache

4. Remove and reinsert SIM (or toggle eSIM if applicable)

  • Power off your device
  • Remove and reinsert SIM, or disable/enable your eSIM line
  • Restart your phone again

5. Ensure correct number registration

  • In Google Messages, verify your number again under RCS settings
  • If it continues to loop, leave RCS switched off for 24 hours, then try re-enabling it

6. Network refresh

  • Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Mobile Network Settings
  • Restart your device afterwards

Tha k you for getting back to me. I've tried almost all your suggestions already. I'm hesitant to remove/disable the esim as I've had problems with that the past 2 days and only recently managed to get a new esim so don't want to go down that road at the moment but I do have a physical SIM on the way so maybe once that arrives I could try that suggestion thank you. It's very frustrating why it won't work. I've moved from a iPhone so I haven't left that setting on on a previous phone and I'm sure I turned Imessage off
