RCS not working on Google pixel 9 pro xl

Does anyone else have a problem with the Google pixel 9 pro XL and the RCS encrypted text messages not working? It's Google's own encryption and doesn't seem to work on the phone weirdly. I do have WhatsApp however so not a big deal.  But just wondered if anyone else has had this issue?!

Hi Nat

Thank you for responding. I did try that but it turns out it was a porting issue when transferring my number. I ended up needing a new sim and the guys at ID kindly sorted the issue.

So all good.

Thanks again.

Hi @Jacks1971

Thanks for getting in touch.

Have you tried the following?
Open the Google Messages app, tap the menu icon, select Settings or Message Settings, find Chat Features or RCS, turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Thanks,

Similar issue with pixel 9. Id say everything is provisioned correctly.  It won't connect have done everything possible to get it working. Even spoken to Google nothing.  Very frustrating.

Hi

Mine pixel 10 wont connect to RCS after moving from talkmobike. It gets stuck on connecting which is very annoying. Does it need a new SIM di we think?

I had this problem and resolved it by logging out of  the Google account associated and logging back in. I made sure my number was correct in the Google account before I logged out and logged in again.

I turned RCS chats off and then back in once I had logged out and back into the Google account.
