I am having trouble returning a call after I have listened to a voicemail message. the prompt tells me to press # but my phone does nothing after I press it. Any help appreciated.

The prompt to press # is designed to work within the voicemail system, but sometimes the phone’s keypad input may not be recognised due to a network or handset setting.
Please try the following steps:
Restart your phone
Ensure you are using the correct voicemail service (e.g., standard voicemail, not visual voicemail)
When prompted, press and hold the # key for 1–2 seconds rather than a quick tap
If you are using a third-party voicemail app, try using the standard voicemail dialer instead
