I’m confused, if I am not in any of the named countries be it band 1 or band 2, am I allowed to switch on data roaming if I have say 10gb of data in my allowances left without incurring any further costs. I’m in Cape Verde, not on any of the two lists. Is it correct that once my 10gb has been used I will then have to pay the extra charges? Thank you.

Hi @Allen101,

Welcome to the Community!

You’ll be charged for any usage outside of EU inclusive destinations.

For Cape Verde you can find the charges below:

Calls to Cape Verde* £6.00 £6.00
Calls received* £1.50 £1.50

Texts to UK** £1.20 £1.20
Picture message (MMS) sent** £0.60 £0.60
Internet and Data (per MB)*** £9.60 £9.60

Thank you Kash,

please pardon me for being stupid and confused, so it doesn’t t matter how much data you have unused in your package. When you enter any destination that is not in any of the roaming places identified you immediately have to pay £9.60 per MB? 👍

Hi @Allen101

Correct, you wouldn’t be able to use your regular allowance while in a non-inclusive zone, such as Cape Verde.

The data charges vary place to place, it’s not £9.60 per MB for everyone, but it is for Cape Verde.
