roaming gran canaria not working

Have tried everything asked of me to connect to roaming and still not got roaming. As a single female traveller I do not feel safe and struggling connecting. Tried aeroplane mode, turning off etc,  nothing helping my situation. Can you please help further

I’m really sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting roaming working, especially while travelling alone. I completely understand how worrying and stressful this must feel. Let’s try and get this sorted for you as quickly as possible.
 

Please try the following steps:

Restart your phone fully
Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then switch it OFF
Go to Settings > Mobile Networks and ensure Data Roaming is turned ON
Manually select a network (instead of automatic selection)
Check that mobile data is enabled for roaming

If possible, restart your device again after making these changes

I have already been asked to do this previously and it is still not working.
