Yes, you’ll be able to use your monthly plan allowances in France. Your minutes, texts and data will work there just like they do in the UK, so there’s no need to purchase anything extra before you travel.

If you do have any trouble connecting once you arrive, you may just need to manually select one of our roaming partners in your phone’s network settings. The available partners in France are Orange, Free Mobile, SFR and Bouygues Telecom. It can also help to restart your device or try a network reset if needed.

We’d also recommend setting your roaming spend cap to £0.00 before travelling, just to help avoid any unexpected charges while you’re away.

You can set your roaming spend limit by changing your bill cap in the iD Mobile app or online account.

To do this:

• Open the iD Mobile app
• Go to My Services
• Select Manage Bill Cap
• Choose the amount you would like to set
• Save the changes

If you want to avoid any unexpected roaming charges while abroad, you can set your bill cap to £0.00, which prevents out-of-plan usage from being charged.
